When tomorrow starts without me (adapted)

Seen many years ago but adapted to give a better meter When tomorrow starts without me And I’m not there to see If the sun should rise to find your eyes Are filled with tears for me I wish you wouldn’t cry for me The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn't get to say I know how much you loved me The same as I loved you And every time you think of me I know you'll miss me too So when tomorrow starts with out me Please try to understand An angel came and called my name Then took me by the hand He said my place was ready In that Heaven far above, That I would have to leave behind All those I dearly loved But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates I felt so much at home As God looked down and smiled at me From 'pon his golden throne. He said "This Is Eternity And All I promised you Today your life on earth is past, But here it starts anew I promise no tomorrow For today will always last And since each day’s the same here, There's no longing for t...

A Father's Blessing

                  As youngest son, I always sensed                   From many of the brothers,                   True or not, they’d put me down,                   I wasn’t like the others.                                    A few days prior to passing on,                  A blessing I was giv’n                        From my beloved, aged dad,                  Before he moved to Heav’n.                                    His health was failing faster now  ...

That's "Gib"

That's Gib Generous and caring Displaying love and cheer, Witty yet affectionate, In our hearts, you're held dear. Loved with many friendships, No matter where you'd go, Never, since I met you, Did I e'er see a foe. You showed appreciation For simple acts of care, The fact that you've been taken, It just seems so unfair. We'll miss your caring outlook, Your witty, cheery stance, To tell how much we loved you, Alas, some missed the chance. Though now you're reunited With Tina by your side, Her passing tore your heart out, That love, you could not hide. It grieves us all to ponder Why you were meant to part, Though you're not in our presence,   You'll aye be in our heart.                                                   Colin Ross           ...

To Know, Know, Know Him. {song}

To know, know, know Him, Is to love, love, love Him, Just to walk His way, In His will, to stay, Yes. to know, know, know Him, Is to love, love, love Him, And I do, yes I do, do you? When He died for me, On that cruel tree, He endured such agony Just so He could set me free, He rose again triumphantly And He lives in Heav'n eternally, He wants you and me there too. Why can't men see How vast His love be? Some day He'll return To take His own to Glory. To know, really know Him, Is to love, truly love Him Live for Him each day, In His will, obey, Yes to know, know, know Him, Is to love, love, love Him And I know, He loves you too.                                                                                       ...

Fare thee well

The Bebees, they've departed To pastures old - yet new, They were in a dilemma Of what was right, to do. They prayed and sought out wisdom From Father God, above, Knowing HE would show them His guidance, with His love. Four years as guiding shepherd, At Northside Baptist Church , Passed torch on to another, Didn't leave us in the lurch. We'll miss your kindly faces,  Reflecting back, we'll pause, For those we know as "Bebees" Have now become "Waswas". So enjoy your new adventure, In His will, be you bound, And trust in His unfailing grace That His "Glorious Love" be found                                                        Colin Ross

Addenda to 'Who is this man'

Who is this Man Addenda (in blue) to an anthem by Mary Kay Beall entitled Who is this Man? sung in my home church choir a few years ago. Who is this man upon a cross By love's decree, brought low? They say He came to save the world Because God loved us so The King of Kings And Lord of Lords Eternally He'll reign Can it be true He died for me And yes, would die again Who is this man upon the cross? He is a friend to me And though I oft Him disappoint His love has set me free The King of Kings And Lord of Lords He took my sin and pain And yes it's true He died for me, But will return again

Flying Dragons

                                                                         Flying Dragons Have you ever seen a dragon soaring swiftly through the sky? Or seen one leap with trunks of legs to rise up, oh so high? You e'er seen one prepare to land?  that sight would terrify, Don't worry if you haven't, 'cause for certain, nor have I. I haven't seen that 'scaly green' the fly space occupy, Nor seen the fiery puffing beast, earths gravity, defy, And while no ogreish brute exists, I cannot tell a lie, While I've not seen flying dragons, I've seen a 'dragonfly'.

Let HIM.

What Satan planned as evil, My Lord has turned to gain, Each life committed to HIM Will never  be in vain. Each gift HE has bestowed upon His children, here on earth, Can change the hearts of sadness, To merriment and mirth. HE'll use your many talents If you, to HIM resign, Then work them all together In HIS wondrous design. Accomplishments, unthinkable, Within the worldly realm, Become the most believable, When God is at the helm. So yield to HIM your talents, Let HIM take full control Then watch HIM take the broken And make them fully whole.
