If love could heal afflictions,
You’d have been healed at birth,
Your family ALL adore you,
They ne’er ignore your worth.
Your happy disposition,
Despite your encumbrance,
To live a regular childhood,
You never had a chance.
Yet you remain so happy
Though showing pain and hurt,
No worries ‘bout your future,
Nor cares in life t’exert.
You’re happy with so little,
With love, you will survive,
It’s what has brought you thus far
And helped you live and thrive.
Now living in your ‘Group Home’
Don’t get to meet, each day
O’er ten years as your carer,
Memories, WON’T fly away.
