NEEDED

It seems it was imperative, That I was MEANT to be My mother yearned to have a girl, Just turned forty, had me. Ne’er knew ’til both folk, they had passed Two pregnancies, there were, And carried long enough to know Female was their gender. A daughter, mum had yearned for, Once she’d be born, they’d quit,  Though HE had plans, parents knew not,  The sixth son, THEN, that’s it. My eldest bro, by fifteen years,  Aft' both parents had passed, Did mention ‘bout an older sis., ‘pon hearing, was aghast.  He then mentioned ’tween third and fourth, The time, six years, went by, Informed me of another girl,  Mum lost, and tears did cry.  ‘Tween ’56 and ’59  More boys there were, by three,  The last just aft’ mum  forty,  turned, In early January. Years later, when in hospital, Did mum confess to me,  “When bearing you, did not you, want, .......... .......“God KNEW, though, NEEDED, be.”

Beautiful, as Blossoms

Beautiful, as Blossoms A-springing from the earth, Proclaiming the season change With merriment and mirth, Daffodils to daisies, They shoot up from the ground, Bringing joy, ‘cause winter’s gone, The summer sun, be found. There are SOME, like the winter, Though what I’ve learned, they’re few, Many folk, like me, prefer, The season, - all things new, As buds appear, soon blossom, The earth to glorify, Beautifying all around, So pleasing to the eye.

TRUE Love

TRUE LOVE You e’er been the recipient Of love so free & true ? You ever sense that love so strong A-reaching down on you? You e’er been beneficiary Of care, so freely given, By some you’ve known, for just short time, With love from highest Heaven? I’m pleased to say, but humbled, I HAVE this LOVE received, From folk I’ve known, for not that long, Though bonding threads were weaved Their names are Pat and Mary Known Pat, at least sev’n years, His wife, just known a short while, Their love, brings me to tears. Their help has, been unfathomed, In many different ways No need to ASK for ’ssistance, In their lives, love displays.  They seem t’know just WHEN and HOW  To give that help required,  Their hospitality, it’s A1, Two God-filled  lives, admired.

The Kingly Crown

The Crown of Thorns A-mocking were, Proclaimed Himself a ‘King’. The Jewish race Did not, Him, see, Defeat, they tried to bring. There’s been none since, Nor e’er will be, Alike, there’s been none other The ONLY one, Creators Son, Borne by a virgin mother. Baalzebub, His hands did rub, When Christ did breath His last, He thought he’d won, BUT, - then, God’s Son, HE ROSE,  Triumphant blast.

VARIETY

At least six colours for a rose,  Not ALL, symbolise LOVE, White, represents INNOCENCE With PUR’TY from above. Yellow, PLATONIC FRIENDSHIP means, Plus JOY, at ‘knowing you’, PURPLE is ‘ENCHANTMENT’ Delight in all you do. Orange, ENTHUSIASM, it also means DESIRE RED, of course is PASSION A burning vigorous fire PINK - a watered down red rose Does ADMIRATION mean, That is given to a FRIEND With whom you can be seen.
