Can understand the concept
Of 'automatic doors'
'Twas for disabled patrons,
With ease, to enter stores
Howe'er, it's made folk lazy,
Some 'able folk', abuse,
'tis easier, the button, push,
Than their biceps, to use.
While sitting in Tim Hortons,
{A coffee chain o'er here}
In view of the main entrance,
It became very clear.
MOST, able-bodied, were,
The 'bi-peds' were a-walking,
And NOT in a wheelchair.
Majority of the customers,
Simply, because it's there,
Did push 'disabled button',
Those, pulling doors, were rare.
The younger folk, especially,
{Well, this is all they've known}
Refused to use their muscles,
Has 'lazy gene' been sewn?
