Isn't it stupendous,
I'm noticed everywhere,
People come from far and near,
To ogle and to stare.
I get 'Red Carpet' treatment
'Most everywhere I go
And though to me, they're strangers,
They all think me, they know.
But I enjoy this treatment,
I've power, authority,
With riches by the millions,
These people worship me.
* * * * * * * * * * *
But wait, it's getting tiring,
This media chasing round,
They're always hounding after me,
I cannot go to ground.
No longer am I 'private',
It almost seems to be,
I don't have a personal life,
I'm 'Public Property'.
With paparazzi trailing,
I wish they'd go away,
If only someone told me
The price I'd have to pay
For all this fame and fortune,
I'd love to turn clock back,
To live my life with privacy
And be a 'normal Jack'
