My parents, how I miss them so,
They LOVED me, as the rest,
However, due to my illness,
Cared for me, with more zest.
Mum worried about ALL of us,
Though when they reached 18,
She worried LESS for them, as she
Had done her job, ’twas seen.
However, both continued to
Show me love, with concern,
Due to the longterm ailment, had,
Solution, they did yearn.
Dad drove me, just like a chauffeur,
His love, great, did abound,
The 'bonding' times in car, we shared,
A love, e'erlasting, found.
When working as a Tradesman, he,
Some overtime, would do,
The older brothers, Saturday,
Would help him, on a few.
He never did take me along,
I understood the 'why'
On me, having the seizures, he
Would have to keep an eye.
One blessing I can cling to now,
Them, I WILL see, anew,
When Heavenly trumpets do resound,
Abide, beyond skies blue.
