An area in Belfast,
Fortwlliam Park, it’s named,
Homes there, for the wealthy,
The ‘posh’ and well acclaimed.
At bottom of the roadway,
As one drives down, ’twas seen
A builders merchant, Aerocrete,
A place I’d often been.
A gang of guys, some females
(“Ma Baker” comes to mind),
Did work in ‘Pricing Office’
No better bunch, you’d find.
Billy, Thomas, Michael, Grahame,
“Ma Baker” known as Joan,
A lunchtime darts game often played,
With “Sink taps” a.k. - John.
A lot of fun was had back then,
It made the days fly fast,
Too soon, they became ‘memories’
We sure, though, had a blast.
Composed on spec after a request from Grahame Todd
