Tune "Going Home"


Just three words, meanings change,

D'pending who it's to,

Human being, animal,

Meanings, - there's a few.


There HAS to be a noun,

Person, place or thing,

Holiday,  food to eat

Creator, praise to sing.


Love, it can be amorous,

Shared between just two,

Or just 'ppreciation for

Some deeds, that you do.


^Can also, be a sentiment,

Giv'n to friends or pets,

Saying it, hearing it,

'Tis the best it gets.


Hearing it, gives a boost

To th'one to whom it's sent,

Be assured, it is free,

GIVEN, it's not leant.


^S'if you hear me saying it,

Know, 'tis said with care,

I 'preciate your 'friendliness',

When I can, it share.


Say it, then, whene'er you can,

It is always due,

:You can't say it oft' enough,

Th'words are, "I love you":

 The title of this ode, is a song by WHAM from the '80's.      WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO GO   I heard that song this morning  On local radio Evoking strong memory Of really long ago. Who is this Man Addenda (in blue) to an anthem by Mary Kay Beall entitled Who is this Man? sung in my home church choir a few years ago. Who is this man upon a cross By love's decree, brought low? They say He came to save the world Because God loved us so The King of Kings And Lord of Lords Eternally He'll reign Can it be true He died for me And yes, would die again Who is this man upon the cross? He is a friend to me And though I oft Him disappoint His love has set me free The King of Kings And Lord of Lords He took my sin and pain And yes it's true He died for me, But will return again
